At Engage Africa Foundation, we do not think that it is okay that 80% of the burden of non-communicable diseases are found in low and middle income countries.

We do not think that it is okay that while the African continent is recovering from the blow from infectious diseases, these highly preventable diseases are delivering us yet another silent but arguable more deadly blow.

We do not think it is okay that in Africa many breadwinners of families have to die in their productive years from diseases such as diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease and chronic respiratory diseases and then leave their loved ones in poverty and without a compelling future.

We do not think it is okay that this situation is not being given the urgency it deserves.

We do not think it is okay that we stand back and be silent.

So we will make a noise. A very loud noise. Until this changes- for the better.

That is what we are here to do- to empower anyone anywhere to get up and fight this problem and win.
